Golf Instruction And Grip Pressure - Three Tips To Improve Through Grip

Golf instruction and grip pressure are, when it comes to many problems, pretty much one in the same. Most beginning golfers are amazed at how many problems can result from grip pressure that is too strong or even too light. Here are some simple golf instruction and grip pressure tips that can help you with your game.

Be as Light as Possible, but Stay in Control

A golf instruction and grip pressure rule to which you should adhere is to hold the club as lightly as possible, without losing control of it. The clubhead, at impact, will likely reach a speed approaching 100 miles per hour. You need to have a tight enough grip to control the club at that speed, but if you grip too hard, you will actually lose some of that. Loose muscles are faster, so gripping easy and keeping those hands and arm muscles loose can really help your cause.

Your Last Three Fingers are the Key

Believe it or not, during most golf instruction and grip pressure lessons you will find that the last three fingers of the left hand that control the transition from backswing to downswing. When you swing a golf club, you cannot let your right hand overpower the three fingers on the left if you want to keep your swing grooved.

Golf instruction and grip pressure are closely related. It is important to make sure you have your grip correct if you want to be able to groove a repeatable and accurate swing.
